Hosting an exhibition took a lot of effort, I had to stopped everything just so I could focus on the show. I'm grateful for the experience. But the thing is, I didn't have the time to really think about my work, the story I wish to convey.
It's best to stay focus, do one thing only and be good at it. So the question I asked my self is, do I want to continue as a photographer, or am I better suited as an organiser ?

I'd much rather be a creator and let others showcasing my work. This would be my preference in my current state. But getting an invitation from reputable art organisers is not easy. I may have to do the exhibition myself if I were to showcase my work.
I say so with a big "OUCH!!" and with tears in my eyes.
After having more time for myself, I discovered cyanotype . I did Sun printing more than 10 years ago when I was fiddling with large format photography, but gave up because I couldn't control the exposure time. If I were to rely on the Sun, the bathing time spreads from 10mins stretching all the way to 45mins. The inconsistency gets on my nerve. Using a UV bulb would be an option, but it gets hot, a bit too hot for my liking.
LED is the main reason why I get back to cyanotype. LED with specific wavelength was hard to find back in the days, but they are somewhat readily available now. I'm using a 365 nm 30W LED light to expose my prints. It's enough to do one A4 print with an inch apart. Mind you though , the 365nm LED does heat up a little, It's recommended to get the light with heat management.
I will continue to write about my cyanotype journey. It's definitely worth the time.
