2025 Photo Exhibition: Just imagine

We started organising group exhibition 4 years ago, almost on a yearly basis. We had to skip one year because of the COVID lockdown, but otherwise, this 2024 would be our 4th anniversary.

Truth is, things we had done in the past are becoming repetitive and is getting rather boring: we would make prints, we'd frame them on the wall, and that's all to it. It's time for an upgrade, or a change.

The question I'm asking is, how can we make it spicier for our 2025 event ? how do we stir shits up ? not merely just better curated photos, better printing, better framing, upgraded location etc., there has to be other new ingredients we could add to the pot.

Ideas without being able to execute or having the will to follow through, is a fool's errand. Am I willing to commit ? Am I strong enough to face the failure ? Am I a problem solver ? The answer is yes, but only as a lone wolf.

The biggest challenge in building this Shutter Alliance, like any other and all places,  is the people. It's difficult to delegate. We are, each on our own, have a goal we seek to achieve, and so ultimately we all need to walk alone.

And us photographers are a group of proud people. Proud people like to be under the spotlight and don't enjoy taking orders from the others. I call it the lone wolf syndrome.

Putting down the ego, even by a notch, is what we need to do in order to succeed. Just imagine how far we could go if we pull all our passions in Photography together under one roof. Lowering your ego is not an easy task .
