Travel Photography vs. Street Photography

Street photography, by definition, sounds a little vague. Whenever you're out on a street taking photos, you're doing street photography. Be it candid, or assigning a model, the key is being on a street.

But say,  you live in Canada and you travel to Hong Kong.  You roam around the streets of Hong Kong and make a few quick snaps. Would you call it a travel photography, or street ?

Truth is, it doesn't matter.

I'm an audience and I don't know you. I may assume you live in HK if you were to categorise your work under  "Street Photography" .

It's not that big of a deal. But for an audience, it helps to better understand you and your work.
